Cookie Policy
Hey there, glad you're here. Now comes the compulsory part with the cookies - but don't worry, we'll keep it short and simple.
Like almost every website, I use cookies - small text files that are stored on your device. They help me keep the site running, show you great content (e.g. YouTube videos), send the newsletter or process payments securely. Some of these cookies are technically necessary, others are optional and help me to improve the usability.
The cookies that pop up on this website are divided into:
First, there are so-called “first-party cookies” - cookies that are automatically set by Wix (an Israeli website builder), my hosting provider
“Third-party cookies” - cookies that are placed by third-party companies that I embed in my site for optimal functionality and whose services I use.
And then there is the question of how long cookies last before they disappear again. This varies, because there are session cookies and permanent cookies:
- Session cookies only last for the duration of your online session. This means that the browser deletes these cookies when you close the browser again.
- Long-term cookies remain on your cell phone, tablet or PC even after you close the browser and for as long as the time period specified in the cookie.

There are four different types of cookies on my website:
Necessary cookies allow you to move around the website and take full advantage of the features offered, such as secure and private areas. Analytics cookies help me understand how you use my website (e.g. which pages interest you, which posts inspire you). They provide statistical figures about how my website is used and improve the website by identifying errors and performance issues.
- Cookies that are essential for the website to function properly are cookies that are used to save user choices and thus improve the user experience (e.g. language selection).
-Marketing cookies are used to collect information about the relevance of my marketing campaigns/advertising campaigns on other websites to users and non-users of my services, helping me to avoid wasting my money unnecessarily and to find out exactly where my offer is of interest.
My host Wix (a website builder) automatically sets everything that goes beyond necessary cookies to not accepted in the cookie banner until the cookies are accepted, i.e. cookies that simply ensure that this site works at all.
Third-party providers and their (chocolate) cookies:
However, since I add a certain number of third-party providers via apps, I have my cookie policy here so that you can identify the cookies and understand how and when they show up, are set and which of them actually “track” your internet behavior.
For example, one of the services that enables such a third-party cookie function is YouTube. I like to use YouTube to provide a “soundtrack” to my posts. There will also be my own channel on YouTube over time, and to access these videos you need to know the following:
My website contains at least one plugin from YouTube, owned by Google Inc, based in San Bruno/California, USA.
I use the YouTube no-cookies function, i.e. I have activated extended data protection, videos are not accessed via youtube.com, but via youtube-nocookie.com. This guarantees that you have no tracking connection to YouTube simply because the video is being displayed.
This option is provided by YouTube itself and ensures that YouTube does not initially store any cookies on your device. However, when you access the relevant pages, the IP address and other data are transmitted and in this way YouTube learns which of my websites you have visited. However, this information cannot be assigned to you personally if you are permanently logged in to YouTube or another Google service when you access the page.
As soon as you start playing an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only stores cookies on your device through the extended data protection mode, which do not contain any personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to a Google service (e.g. gmail.com, Google Ads, Google play etc). These cookies can be prevented using the appropriate browser settings and extensions.
Since the two giants Google/YouTube, the Meta Group and Facebook and Amazon in particular, through which my book is printed via KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), are integrated into my site, here is the privacy policy of the individual companies in advance with a focus on the good cookies. This list is supplemented by my communication and coaching conferences focusing on Zoom and my newsletter provider Brevo (an email marketing service provider).

All these cookies are particularly relevant to you when you log in to Zoom, accept invitations, subscribe to the Brevo newsletter, join Facebook groups, click on ads on Amazon or order my book via an order link or watch a YouTube video that I have posted. If you don't want to do that, please don't click, don't subscribe, don't take part in the conferences.
You can find out more about the various services in my privacy policy, which is available to you in the footer of all pages and also linked in the cookie banner.

Right to object - how can I delete cookies?
How and whether you want to allow cookies is entirely up to you. Regardless of which service or website the cookies come from, you always have the option to delete, deactivate or only partially allow cookies. For example, you can block third-party cookies but allow all other cookies so that the site runs optimally.
If you want to find out which cookies have been stored in your browser, if you want to change or delete cookie settings, you can find them in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Delete, activate and manage cookies in Chrome
- Safari: Manage cookies and website data with Safari
- Firefox: Delete cookies to remove data that websites have stored on your computer
- Internet Explorer: Delete and manage cookies
- Microsoft Edge: Delete and manage cookies
If you do not want any cookies at all, you can set up your browser so that it warns you whenever a cookie is to be set. You can then decide for each individual cookie whether you want to allow it or not. The procedure differs depending on the browser. It is best to search for the instructions in Google using the search term “delete cookies Chrome” or “deactivate cookies Chrome” in the case of a Chrome browser.
Legal basis
The so-called “EU cookie guidelines” have been in place since 2009. This states that the storage of cookies requires your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)). However, there are still very different reactions to these guidelines within the EU countries. In Austria, however, this directive was implemented in Section 96 (3) of the Telecommunications Act (TKG). In Germany, the cookie directives have not been implemented as national law. Instead, this directive was largely implemented in Section 15 (3) of the Telemedia Act (TMG).
For strictly necessary cookies, even if no consent has been given, there are legitimate interests (Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), which in most cases are of an economic nature. I want to provide visitors to Hybrid Hearts with a pleasant user experience and certain cookies are often absolutely necessary for this.
If cookies that are not absolutely necessary are used, this will only be done with your personal consent. The legal basis in this respect is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
You can block many of them directly via your browser settings. And don't worry - I don't sell any data and only use the data I need.
If you have any questions about individual cookies or tools, please get in touch!
Updating the cookie policy:
From time to time, I may decide I think a third-party provider is daft and/or bring others on board. Then, of course, the type of cookies that are set will change. Or one of the third-party providers has clever developers who send new cookies into the field. This cookie policy will then also be updated so that it remains up to date.
The current version is dated 06.04.2025 and has been drawn up to the best of our knowledge. I hope you were able to find clarity about what these deliciously named programs are all about and check back here from time to time!
